Gordon Ramsay is in Redondo Beach, California, for the first of two visits to Zayna Flaming Grill, a Mediterranean restaurant owned and run by aunt and niece Faye and Brenda. Faye believes she has the weight of the entire restaurant on her shoulders, while Brenda feels she isn't treated as an equal in the business. With tensions rising, the food not up to scratch and everyone playing the blame game, the chef is faced with one of the trickiest situations he's ever encountered

By the end of the evening, Geoff reaches breaking-point

Adam and Murray fall out over Adam's plans to pursue a comedy career after his attempts to be funny in woodwork class nearly result in his teacher getting injured. Beverly and Geoff worry that college is turning Erica into a pretentious snob, but they allow Barry to coach them in the finer points of culture in an attempt to stay close to her

Cam blames Mitch when he forgets the words to his favourite country song and decides he needs to reconnect with his roots. Alex is up for a prestigious government job that requires a family interview, causing everyone to overcompensate and jeopardise her chances, while Haley and Dylan think it might be time they grew up a little

Diaz enlists Peralta to help change Jeffords' disapproving opinion about her fast-moving relationship with Pimento. However, the new couple's love for each other has to be put on hold when Pimento comes to believe that someone from his past is trying to kill him

Amy has to go undercover at a women's prison and befriend one of the inmates in order to try to get information about a criminal operation. Back at the precinct, Holt and the team plan a fake funeral in an attempt to catch a hitman

Anna Richardson welcomes 24-year-old Sian from Norfolk, a petrol head who wants to find a man she can love more than her beloved car, and 33-year-old fashion entrepreneur Tansel from London. He is looking to settle down and hopes that losing ignoring the clothes for once will help him find the right girl

A 20-year-old glamour model, a 28-year-old financial head-hunter and a 27-year-old man who has been single for several years are among the singletons meeting possible partners at the restaurant. At the end of their restaurant meal, the couples decide whether they want to take things further, and if the answer is no, the next date sitting opposite them could be a viewer
