Claudia Winkleman hosts this musical exploration of her phenomenon ratings success. From epic classical orchestral favourites to opera excerpts with betrayal at their heart, this Prom, recorded in July at the Royal Albert Hall, features melodramatic chart tracks heard on the series with a gothic, symphonic twist. There's a new take on the theme tune and some familiar figures and faces from the challenges and round tables. Conjuring the misty intrigue are soloists Andrea Lykke, HAYLA and Darrell Smith, alongside the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under conductor Karen Ní Bhroin and BBC Singers in works by composers including Rob Dougan, Sam Watts, Saint-Saëns, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Puccini
