When Ray - Paul's old archery teammate and Rachel's ex-boyfriend - sends his annual card teasing Paul for failing to win a medal at the Athens Olympics in 2004, Amy, Sam and Maya start watching some of Paul's old archery videos to learn more about him. Convinced that Ray cheated Paul out of a place on the team in Beijing by sneezing just as he was about to fire a crucial shot in qualifying, the kids put pressure on Paul to confront Ray in Cardigan when Amy is due to stay with Maya in Swansea. However, the visit to Ray's house takes an unexpected turn when Paul learns more about Rachel and Ray's old relationship and Amy discovers that Maya is otherwise engaged. The finale finds the teams racing from Medellín, Colombia's second-largest city, in an epic push of over 1,000km to the finish line on the Guajira peninsula, the northernmost region of South America.
