The Great British Bake Off judge and food writer demonstrates quick and simple recipes designed to take the stress out of cooking for family and friends, as well as sharing some of her memories of her life, family and friends. In the first programme, Mary preparing five dishes suitable for special days and celebrations, including salmon fillets with herbs and red pepper and a side dish of spiralised vegetables and an indulgent treat of lobster tails with aioli and asparagus

The Great British Bake Off judge prepares a selection of dishes perfect for outdoor entertaining and lazy summer days, beginning with a whole seabass with lime and dill butter. Mary then meets experts Jules and Nick to have a go at catching crayfish in the waters of Oxfordshire, before using the crustaceans in an oriental vegetable salad. She then demonstrates simple recipes for lamb burgers with mint mayo, and smoked Texan chicken wings, and finishes with refreshing lemon and elderflower jellies

Part one of two. Mary explores the roots of her faith through the medium of food, asking how Britain eats its way through Easter, and sharing her own favourite Easter recipes, including hot cross buns, Simnel cake and roast lamb. In this first episode, she discovers the traditions followed by diverse British families and communities during Lent and Good Friday, and the food that brings them together as each prepare for their Easter celebrations

Part two of two. Mary explores the foods that bring different communities together on Easter Sunday, the most symbolic and meaningful feast in the Christian calendar. As well as sharing her own family favourites, Mary discovers how the Greek Orthodox community breaks the fast with tsoureki bread, spends a day with Archbishop of York John Sentamu and discovers Filipino and Italian Easter specialities. She also puts on a feast at her local church hall for everyone she has met along the way
