Jamie Oliver continues to demonstrate his own brand of fast food by showing viewers how to prepare two quick recipes. In this edition, he makes beef kofta curry with fluffy rice, beans and peas, before creating spring frittata and tomato toasts with watercress and pea salad

The remaining bakers test their pie-making skills as they embark on a series of challenges. After serving up their signature dish for judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, they are faced with cooking six individual pork pies - a task that proves problematic for vegetarian Jason - and preparing a meringue. In week six there's a savoury signature, where contestants must impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with style and substance. There's also a multi-layered technical, and an ambitious final challenge, in which the bakers make a traditional pie. Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding are with the contestants every step of the way, ready with a pertinent pep talk or just a sympathetic shoulder to cry on. Also, Sandi heads abroad to discover how some unusual habits have inspired a classic pastry treat
