Si King and Dave Myers get back on their bikes to explore the culinary delights of several Mediterranean countries, discovering hearty and healthy food from France, Spain and Italy. They begin by searching for the authentic flavours of Italy, from simple local ingredients to spicy nduja pate and some of the best gelato around

Si King and Dave Myers explore the culinary delights of Sardinia, starting out in Cagliari, where everyone is in high spirits for the feast of St Efisio. The bikers join in by cooking a local speciality, almond and orange cakes. They also meet the tuna fishermen of Carloforte and a chef who has a special way of serving up platters of the fish, are shown how to make sheep's black pudding by a group of shepherds and are served a stew by the 'King of Sardinia'

Si King and Dave Myers discover the culinary delights of Corsica, starting out in a delicatessen to get a taste of the local cuisine, including the figatelli sausage. The owner explains how most of the island's food is made up of a holy trinity of ingredients - meat, cheese and chestnuts, a list that forms the basis of the bikers' exploration

Si King and Dave Myers explore the culinary delights of Provence in southern France. Starting out in Marseille, they meet a Moroccan woman who runs a welcome centre where immigrants can eat together - and who makes a fish stew to die for. Travelling west, they learn about the culinary influence of the Romans who conquered Europe 2,000 years ago, try a breakfast of pastry filled with spicy octopus, and dine with a Catalan farmer and his family on a regional speciality of barbecued snails

The bikers ride across the Balearic islands Menorca and Majorca, sampling great produce and finding out about the British influence in the Mediterranean from the 17th century to the present day. They reveal how mayonnaise was invented in Menorca's capital of Mahon, sample Menorcan gin, and meet British chef Mark Fosh, who has lived in Majorca for more than 20 years. Recipes include cuttlefish stew and squid salad with mayonnaise, fish and chips in gin and tonic batter, and sea bass a la mallorquina and saffron potato puree

Si King and Dave Myers explore the culinary delights of southern Spain, travelling from Valencia to Torremolinos and finding out about the influence of the Moors, who invaded the country in the early eighth century. Along the way, they visit one of the most fertile areas in Spain, get their hands on a freshly caught octopus, go for a mud bath and learn about flamenco, giving Dave a chance to show off his dance moves. Finally, they cook tapas for the San Juan midsummer night festival, where they reflect upon their entire Mediterranean adventure

The chef is joined by Brian Turner to explore the culinary delights of his native Yorkshire, with James visiting Frances Atkins' restaurant The Yorke Arms, where he enjoys her signature dish al fresco in her unusual dining room the Onion. Brian tastes the delights of some local charcuterie and is challenged to some off-road driving, while James brushes up his clay-pigeon shooting skills
