David Buckland is busy with sheep and cattle in North Uist, but one of his calls is to a croft to carry out a procedure he has never done in his 40 years of being a vet. A year earlier, the gamekeeper on the local estate found a young, red deer calf stuck on the moor in a desperate condition. Dubbed Bam, he is now a year old and needs to be castrated. In Wick, Pete Cameron is on the go tending to lambs and calves, and in Forfar, Fiona Crowden is treating an emergency case. A dog has been admitted with a fever after eating blue cheese, but it isn't clear if that's what is causing his severe condition

Stories was the theme of this year's Tattoo and the highlights include song performances from the United States Airforce Band, light and fire from the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Steel Band and the stunning formations of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Dancers
