The story of the Glasgow bus, a lifeline between Donegal and the Scottish city to which successive generations from that county have flocked for over two centuries. The first of four programmes offers a unique insight into the bus passengers, from the Donegal emigrants of the 1960s to the present holiday-makers, and meets its owners and drivers

Kate MacLeod, aka The Hebridean Mermaid, explores the hidden gems of the Hebrides, meeting tradition bearers with remarkable stories about the places she loves to visit the most, above and below the water. In this episode she comes across an interesting sea creature, known as a sunfish, which is native to tropical waters, but is likely to have been carried to the islands by the Gulf Stream. Swimming on its side, the sun heats its body and it feeds on jellyfish. She also journeys to Taransay, home of some of the most stunning and unique beaches in the Outer Hebrides. Once a thriving community, the island had three villages, but is now home to deer, seabirds and cattle.

A special concert at Celtic Connections celebrating 25 years of new Gaelic songs, presented by Joy Dunlop. Building on BBC Radio nan Gàidheal's Òran Ùr project that showcased Gaelic songs written since the turn of the century, the concert is curated by Gillebride MacMillan and features performances from stars of Gaelic singing and contemporary songwriting as well as various surprise guests

The lads check out various kitchen gadgets. Starting off with an old favourite, the slow cooker, Ruaraidh makes a sticky toffee pudding. Uisdean goes modern with a multi cooker and uses its sous vide function to prepare chicken breast for the classic duck à l'orange. Along with this he very carefully uses a microwave to make sauce gastrique. The very modern and in vogue air fryer is used to roast the ingredients for a dark stock, while Ruaraidh prepares a Korean beef shin stew in another old favourite, the pressure cooker
