Dog handler Steve and the firearms team are involved in a dramatic doorstep showdown in which a man is alleged to have attacked someone with an axe and a machete. A stolen van makes off from officers in Leeds before nearly hitting a dog walker, while a tactical pursuit and containment collars a disqualified driver who tries to pull the wool over the interceptors' eyes

PCs Jamie Leslie and Jan Simlesa are patrolling in North Tyneside when they spot a shifty driver in a car that is the worse for wear. As the vehicle turns into a cul-de-sac, they signal for him to stop but he rams their police car and takes off, sparking a high-speed pursuit

The programme returns for a new run, this time following officers from Humberside police. On the M180 near Scunthorpe, a car carrying a suspected burglar hits an ANPR camera. When the vehicle exits the motorway, the police seize their chance and box it in, but the driver seems more concerned about losing his footwear than getting nicked. In Hull, PC Adam Barley stakes out the main route in and out of the city for drivers with their foot down and it doesn't take long before he spots a driver doing 59mph in a 40 zone, while PC Moff McEwan hunts for a suspected cloned car that has been linked to a recent burglary

Detectives investigate when a man is found in the early hours badly beaten at the side of the road with significant facial injuries and little recollection of what happened. DS Lee Marriner and DC Craig Weir start hunting through all the images from that night to see if they can pick up anyone who might have been with the victim, and several clips emerge but identification is a problem

Mulder and Scully investigate the case of an air force test pilot who suffers a mental breakdown and subsequently disappears without trace. Mulder is convinced there is a connection between the missing airman and UFO sightings in the area, but the military are determined to stop them from learning too much.
