By January 1349, the plague had engulfed southern England, and Britain was now in the grip of the most devastating pandemic in history. As Dan and Raksha explore the spiralling death toll, they reveal how the country was gripped by fear and descended into chaos

A scientist is told how he will die by a mysterious old man - a prediction that comes true. Another scientist is later murdered, his body frozen with a chemical that is currently still being developed by a colleague of both victims. Mulder believes the old man has access to this chemical as he has travelled back from the future to stop their work being completed
