The comedian hosts a special celebrity edition of the game show, with contestants Danny Dyer, Zoe Ball and David Walliams competing to win a cash prize for their chosen charity. Nick Knowles travels to Derby to meet Rachel and Andy Smith, whose middle child Isaac has a severe form of cerebral palsy. The couple must be available at all times because Isaac sleeps in a hospital bed in the living room, but this is making life difficult for his siblings as their home design is in conflict with what the family really need. Having heard of their plight, the DIY SOS team arrives to help, backed up by an army of local tradespeople - with designer Julia Kendall making sure they do not stray too far from her vision

Nick Knowles, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and the team head to the Worcestershire village of Eckington to help 17-year-old Antonia Payne-Cheney, who has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a rare and debilitating condition that causes her joints to regularly dislocate and means she cannot eat normally and is fed through a tube. The ambitious build features a functional, sterile space for medical procedures in her bedroom, a specially adapted wet room and an accessible area where she can socialise with friends and family

When Terry Guest had a brain injury, he was left with severe disabilities, and the only care available for him was an old people's dementia care home, where he remained for several years. His sister Tracey offered help, but like Terry's home, her house was also unsuitable. Nick Knowles's regulars and a team of South Yorkshire volunteers and suppliers step in to adapt Tracey's home and build Terry his own separate pad at the end of the garden
