Hannah starts a job at a law firm, where her new boss Rich is a bit too friendly - but her colleagues assure her the perks of the job make a little sexual harassment worth enduring. Charlie goes to the girls' apartment to make a coffee table for Marnie, and his bandmate Ray takes the opportunity to snoop around. However, his discovery of Hannah's diary leads to a devastating revelation for Charlie. Meanwhile, Jessa gets a scare when she loses the Lavoyt kids at the park, and Shoshanna's quest to lose her virginity continues when she arranges a date with an old friend from summer camp

Charlie is reeling after discovering Marnie's true feelings about him in Hannah's diary and ends up storming out of the girls' apartment, setting Marnie off on a mission to win him back. Jessa arranges to meet the only guy ever to dump her and also persuades Hannah to embrace the sexual advances of her boss in the name of literary inspiration, with predictably uncomfortable results

Hannah leaves Brooklyn behind to return to her home town of East Lansing, Michigan for her parents' 30th anniversary, quickly readopting the demeanour of a stroppy teenager. Things take a turn for the better when she secures a date with a pharmacist - but he is a little taken aback by her forthright New York ways

Drama gets the guys to go on a journey to Joshua Tree National Park to help Vince clear his mind and make a career decision. Lloyd reluctantly covers for Ari at home and helps him through a bad trip. American comedy, starring Adrian Grenier and Kevin Dillon
