Serhat Ahmet and Catherine Southon tour the East Midlands in their lilac classic car, where they scour the shops for something special to take to auction. Catherine gets swept up in the romance of an item containing a wartime love story. After being snubbed by one antique shop inhabitant, Serhat amasses a diverse collection of items, but still manages to slip in some of his beloved porcelain

Catherine Southon and Serhat Ahmet tour East Anglia hunting for antiques. As their quest continues, Serhat meets the great nephew of a woman who broke the social norms of the day to go to fight on the front line. Catherine, meanwhile, gets to sample a local delicacy that sounds rather unappealing, but has sustained the local population for centuries. The competing duo then head to a picturesque spot by a windmill to watch their items go under the hammer at auction

As their quest for bargains continues, Serhat Ahmet is on the hunt once more for ceramics, while Catherine Southon has her eye on a more eclectic mix of items. Serhat makes some new four-legged friends and finds out about a refugee fleeing his war-torn country who became a local legend in his adopted home town thanks to his crazy stunts and feats of strength. Catherine also gets a taste of a high-speed motorsport and goes for a ride from which she might never recover

Serhat Ahmet and Catherine Southon start the final lap of their antiques race on the bumpy backroads of Lincolnshire, heading to their final destination of Silverstone - the home of the British Grand Prix - in Northamptonshire. On their travels, Catherine discovers the history of the most iconic of classical instruments at a school that teaches students how to make them. Meanwhile, Serhat hears the story of how a group of enterprising 18th-century miners helped turn a peak in Derbyshire into one of the country's earliest tourist attractions
