Great Canal Journeys

Timothy West and Prunella Scales embark on a journey into their pasts via the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, which celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2016. Along the way, they visit the country's last surviving steam-powered textile mill, meander through the 'curlies', and meet acclaimed poet Simon Armitage. They also take a trip by steam train to the home of the Bronte sisters in Haworth, and are confronted by the Salts Mill after tackling the steepest lock staircase in Britain
