The film explores his comedic journey, his creative partnership with Adrian Edmondson, his struggle with drink and the near-fatal quad-bike accident that left him fighting not only for his life but also his future. Chevy Chase was a cast member on the inaugural series of Saturday Night Live and he built on that success to star in numerous Hollywood comedies and host the Academy Awards. He played hapless father Clark Griswold in the National Lampoon films and ran amok in pictures including Caddyshack, Spies Like Us, Fletch and Three Amigos. Two-time Emmy Award winner Marina Zenovich directs an authorised feature-length documentary portrait of Chase, which includes rare and intimate home movies and archive footage. Chase and his family share memories directly to camera, enriched with contributions from friends and collaborators including Dan Aykroyd, Beverly D'Angelo, Goldie Hawn, Lorne Michaels, Ryan Reynolds and Martin Short.
