With a menu of more than 126 dishes, the quality of the food is suffering, and even the chefs refuse to eat their own creations

First of a two-part special in which Gordon Ramsay heads to the Burger Kitchen in Los Angeles, where tensions are running high because owner Alan Saffron has spent his son's entire inheritance on the struggling restaurant. To make matters worse, the kitchen is run by a chef called David Blaine who shares nothing of his famous namesake's magic when it comes to cooking - and whose threatening behaviour regularly gets him into trouble
