Bettany then sails for mainland Greece to investigate the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, walking through the ruins of the temple where the awe-inspiring statue once stood, and vividly brings the sculpture to life using graphic reconstructions

After seeing the country's lagoons and hot geysers in daytime, Jane settles down on the deck at night to witness the Aurora Borealis, better known as the Northern Lights. Later, she helps prepare the local delicacy of gravadlax, then joins a rettir, an ancient tradition in which sheep are rounded up having grazed on the mountains

Ben returns to Scotland to revisit the Goddard family, who were living a wild and weather-beaten existence in an off-grid static caravan on the Isle of Rum. Now five years later, Ben discovers them living on the mainland, having swapped their caravan for an actual house. Still remote and surrounded by wilderness, they open up about how they altered their circumstances to make wild living work for them

The presenter meets the Powell family who are living an off-grid existence in a hidden valley in the Black Mountains in Wales. Whilst in their company, Ben climbs into a ravine to maintain the family's hydro electrics, explores the forest with the spirited children, and helps plant the biggest new woodland in Wales for a generation

The first of a two-part Indian adventure finds Jane amid the colourful chaos of the city of Kolkata, where she visits the largest flower market in Asia, before being treated to a ringside view of some traditional wrestlers in action. Jane then sets sail on India's most holy river, the Ganges, on board a five-star ship. Stop-offs include the temple city of Kalna and the former home of the historic East India Shipping Company, Murshidabad. While in Murshidabad, Jane explores the grand palaces of the city, before going off the beaten the track to see some local artisans at work
