Coverage from the day session on day one of the Games, which take place in Glasgow. The games first took place back in Hamilton, Canada in 1930 and took place again in 1934 and 1938, before being cancelled in 1942 and 1946 because of the Second World War. Since its return in 1950 the games have continued to take place every four years and are being held in Glasgow for the second time in 12 years, having previously been held in the Scottish city in 2014. Events taking place today include swimming and para swimming, boxing, para powerlifting and artistic gymnastics
